Palermo

Palermo is Buenos Aires’ swanky neighborhood, and walking the tree-lined streets, we agree: Overgrown, flowering bushes, towering oaks, cute café after cute café, Palermo is the Highlands meets Aix-en-Provence, Mediterranean, hipster, but decidedly Argentinian with its pastel- and neon-painted buildings and fuck-it-ism graffiti.

Me gusta, and the entire morning here, I suffer déjà vu, so familiar these Buenos Aires streets feel, as if I’ve already walked them in my streets, starting at all these beautiful Argentinian people, men in flat-fronted khakis, barefoot in their loafers, button downs rolled up to the elbows, women in breezy, bouncy summer flair, fitted and becoming.

Oh, Palermo, I want to squeeze your cheeks!
