Ibirapeura Park

We hear of another potential spot for Sambadrome tickets and make a break for the other side of town, en route to the perfect place for a lovely afternoon–the park.

No, no, no tickets for our price range, so off we are to Ibirapeura Park, a Central Park times ten, and one inside, we pass by the awesomest idea–a covered, open air roller area for skaters of all wheel types, their tricks and flips and falls reverberating across the cement–and into the park itself.

The foliage is abundant and green and lush and the fish and colorful geese and black swans entertain us for days, pretty enough to overlook the trails of trash floating in their lagoons, warm and sticky air the perfect place for a migratory stop of fauna of all aerial kind.

It’s nice, this park, and we are far from the only ones willing to spend their Saturdays in its embrace.
