Geneva to Vallorcine

I take the Harry Potter train to Vallorcine, the caboose pulling a four-carriage load up the tracks, steep, steep, steep as it climbs the Alps, and within minutes, I see why locals opt for seats facing uphill, for here I am, on a downhill-fronting bench, my head so perched forward, I barely keep myself upright in this desperate battle against gravity.

Forty Swiss Francs and three hours later, I make it to my weekend getaway, Vallorcine, for a mountain oasis of snow play, blog writing, and a little solo time.
